General Notes

The full title of the village is Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute Loire.
The monument on the top of the rock is Notre Dame de France.

An oil painting of the same view was exhibited in Salford in 1984 as
part of the Perera Collection, and is illustrated in the catalogue.
The title is "Rocher Corneille, Le Puy c 1925".
