NEW BOOK ON TESSA NEWCOMB

The new book on Tessa Newcomb by Philip Van has just been published price £29.95. Copies can be purchased from the gallery.

ALAN LOWNDES & SIMEON STAFFORD SHOW - 25th MARCH

To celebrate the publication of major books on each of these 2 artists we will be holding an exhibition of their work at our Hale gallery commencing 25th March. All are welcome to attend the preview evening between 6-9pm on Thursday 25th March. The author of both books, Mr Jonathan Riley will open the show and Simeon Stafford will be present at the open evening. Both books will be for sale and Jonathan and Simeon will be available to sign copies. We will be producing a 44 page catalogue to accompany the show. Please contact the gallery if you are not already on our mailing list.

PETER BROOK

We are sorry to report that the Pennine Painter Peter Brook died on Wednesday 25th November. His funeral was held in Huddersfiled on Friday 4th December. Peter left behind a fantastic legacy in the form of a large number of paintings depicting his beloved Pennine landscape.

Our Winter Show is now up and running. Check the website regularly as new works are being added all the time.

We are currently producing a major book on the life and works of William Ralph Turner. Schedules publication date is Septmeber 2010. Please contact us if you have any interesting works by this artist.

A NORTHERN VIEW - The best of Northern Art

This was one of the most successful exhibitions we have ever held, it was so popular we had to extend it until August. We sold over 150 paintings during the show to clients from all parts of the country, this underlines the popularity of Northern Art. The catalogue for this show has already become a collectors item and has been selling on ebay for £10.
