Benadette Hilton is a self-taught sculptress working in Uppermill, Lancashire. Her series of Northern Folk have beed inspired by the work of the famous Lancashire Artist, John Thompson, whose paintings of groups of Northern men are collected world wide.
Each figure is a unique piece, painstakingly sculpted in clay and then hand painted after firing.
