General Notes

The first early days of Spring - when it became light enough for the children to
play out after tea and Mother, Aunt Frances, Aunt Mary, George & I ( and The dogs
Gyp & Barney ) could all go for a walk before it was time for bed. Aunt Mary has stopped to talk to Sarah Ann Thompson who complained that the summer and the light nights were coming, because that meant the children would chalk all ovr her clean flags and make a noise outside her window. " Never mind Sarah Ann" said Mother , " children are children for such a little while - and the year was 1906.
