General Notes
Mackie Mayor is a Grade II listed market building on the edge of Manchester's Northern Quarter, originally opened by Mayor Mackie in 1858. It has languished rather unused and unloved since it closed in the 1970s. Recently, it has been refurbished and reopened as a market-style eating establishment by the people involved in the hugely successful Altrincham Market and Market Hall.
